This school was designed to increase children’s awareness, learn practical skills, and improve their living conditions. The design concept of the school was inspired by the African violet, and it is modularly designed around a circle in various zones based on the region’s climate and culture. The advantages of modular design include the school’s potential for future expansion and the flexibility of its spaces. The school consists of 6 separate classrooms, and all communication pathways are covered with wooden shades to create visual and thermal comfort. Natural ventilation is also possible through windows and the ceiling. To achieve sustainable development following environmental conditions, we considered two points:
- the school should be constructed using local and available materials
- Its construction should not require specialized labor, as the locals should be able to construct it
